Our Directors

The Bundaberg BEC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who also develop and oversee the Strategic Direction of the organsition.  The current Board of Directors are:

Rod Medew

Rod was a Director of Research at the Australian Electoral Commission and was employed with the United Nations in areas of post conflict resolution, specifically establishing electoral systems in emerging democracies. He has worked in a diverse range of countries including Afghanistan, Cambodia and Bosnia. Rod's qualifications include:

  • Bachelor of Arts (Geography)
  • Master of Arts (Demography)
  • Post Graduate (American Politics)

Director

Edwina Rowan

Edwina Rowan is partner at Charltons Lawyers and practices in the areas of family law, child protection, domestic violence and criminal law. Edwina was admitted as a solicitor in 2007 and holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, Bachelor of Journalism with Distinction, Graduate Certificate in Criminology and is currently completing her Masters Degree with a focus on Family Law parenting matters. Edwina is the Vice President of the EDON Place Domestic and Family Violence Centre Inc., a past secretary of the Bundaberg Law Association and member of the Family Law Pathways Project Steering Committee. Edwina is also an accredited Independent Children’s Lawyer.

Brant Duff

Brant Duff is a commercial real estate agent with Ray White having begun his real estate career in 2006 with Ray White after gaining experience in customer service, managerial roles and sales. Although committed to real estate, Brant does enjoy time away with his family. Brant’s qualifications include:

Brendan Barratt

Brendan is an independent consultant to the Financial Services industry. He has an extensive and successful career in the Financial Services industry including Compliance, Life Insurance, Superannuation, Investment, Mortgage Broking and general banking practice. Over 35 years of which has included the managing and training of compliance; sales management; recruiting; sales; business practice management, and business development.

Jenny Gregg

Jenny Gregg has been the Office Manager for Travel & Cruise Bundaberg since 2004.  With over 20 years experience in the travel industry and over 10 years managing a busy metropolitan and regional travel agency, Jenny brings a great deal of small business experience as well as experience with a franchise. Jenny's qualifications include:

Maria Ebert

Maria Ebert draws from a diverse career in administration, management and customer service roles across various sectors in public, private and Church based organisations of all sizes including the creation and development of her own small business. Over the last 20 years she has been active in the Bundaberg community and while raising a family has been employed, owned small businesses and served on several boards and committees. A previous tenant of the BBEC Maria is passionate about the growth and development of new businesses.

  • Accredited Swim Teacher
