Mentor Services
What is a Mentor Service?
The Bundaberg Small Business Mentor Service (BSBMS) is a free business support service aimed at providing business growth and job creation in the Wide Bay area including the Sunshine Coast.
What is a mentor?
The name for "mentor" comes from Greek mythology and is used to define a 'trusted friend and teacher, a wise person'.
A BSBMS Business Mentor is someone with extensive and successful business experience, talents and skills who is willing to provide, without commercial gain, one-to-one guidance to people experiencing business difficulties.
Who are mentors?
The Bundaberg Small Business Mentor Service is always recruiting mentors. These mentors are coming from the ranks of retired, semi-retired or still working successful business executives and specialists throughout the region. They are people with a sense of community service, who wish to contribute in a voluntary capacity, using their skills in a very worthwhile way.
Forms of mentoring
Mentoring can range from being a formal one-on-one relationship with a client (or clients), with the Mentor providing wide ranging support on a regular basis, to a one-off telephone contact in regard to a specific problem, or even group mentoring, e.g. training, workshops, etc.
